PWA-RXS

You can reliably transmit and receive camera-native files exactly as they were recorded. Since these files adhere to the industry-standard XDCAM format, both the content and metadata—including timecode and GPS location—are preserved and can be seamlessly integrated into your production workflow. These files maintain consistent quality regardless of network conditions, ensuring improved transmission reliability.

Supports reception of streaming in Sony QoS format and SRT format. Received video can be output via SDI or recorded as files. In addition to H.264, the system supports HEVC codec, enabling high-quality streaming at reduced bitrates. Compatible with cameras featuring SRT streaming such as PXW-Z300 and PXW-Z200.

By presetting transfer destinations, crews can send the received content automatically to selected locations. This allows operations without worrying about receiver availability—even during holidays or late-night hours—reducing workload on the receiving side. Multiple destinations can be specified, enabling distribution to multiple systems and supporting “one-source, multi-use” workflows.

By directly connecting nonlinear editing systems to a server running the PWA-RXS, you can immediately access transmitted content without waiting for the file to close. This setup allows for seamless edit-in-place operations. (*1)

You can monitor the status of transfers from field transmitters. Additionally, you have the capability to change the transfer destination of the transmitter from the receiving side.

When paired with the PWA-RXS, this smartphone app streamlines content transmission workflows. By simply launching the app and connecting to the camera in a few easy steps, recorded files are automatically copied to the smartphone's storage and uploaded the designated PWA-RXS destination. The cache feature allows for immediate content preview on the smartphone, even if the camera is disconnected right after shooting, eliminating the need to wait for the transmission to complete.

Creators’ App for Enterprise includes Edge AI functionality (*2). Edge AI leverages on-device AI engines to deliver immediate results on-site. This feature will support highly requested AI transcription. Since Edge AI can run during content transmission, it enables faster script creation and editing point identification, improving downstream workflow efficiency.
