Notice of Events Occurrence
“Date settings are unintentionally changed to incorrect times or automatic time correction does not work”
Thank you very much for your support in Sony products.
It has been found that the following events may occur on NXCAM Camcorder: “NEXEA50”, “NEX-FS100/100K”, “HXR-NX5”, “HXR-NX30 “, “HXR-NX70”, AVCHD Camcorder: “HXR-MC50”, and Digital recording binoculars: “DEV-5K”, due to they cannot recognize GPS date information correctly.
1. The GPS date is incorrect.
2. The date set by CLOCK SET in MENU is unintentionally changed, or automatic time correction may not work.
(No.2 doesn’t occur on HXR-NX5 because it doesn’t have an automatic time correction function.)
This event is the impact of the event “GPS week number rollover” occurred on April 6, 2019. GPS week number rollover: The week number of the date sent by the GPS satellite should be returned to 0 every 1024 weeks.
In the following applicable products, please turn the “Auto Clock ADJ” setting to “Off” (to avoid No.2 event above which occurred after April 6, 2019.) and set the date manually before you use it, even if the GPS time is displayed correctly.
In addition, GPS positioning and the automatic region correction function are not affected by GPS week number rollover.
