After File Manager software is installed on a host computer, all operations are controlled with a web-based GUI from each client computer. It uses a simple Drag & Drop operation to archive and retrieve files and provides the opportunity for the user to add text metadata when archiving files.

After the File Manager software is installed on a host computer, all operations can be controlled with a web-based GUI, from each client computer. Using a simple drag & drop functionality to archive and retrieve files, File Manager also provides the opportunity for the user to add text metadata when archiving files.
Categorisation by cartridge
In the case of ODS-L10, it contains up to 10 catridges as online (total 15TB with ten ODC-1500R), and you can use different cartridges per category or user. Placeholder to archive together multiple files from different folders and add text metadata when archiving files.
Support all line-ups
File Manager can control both USB type standalone drive (ODS-D55U or ODS-D77U) and libraries (ODS-L10 or ODS-L30M).
Simplest solution for shelf archive
File Manager is able to search your cartridge even it's on shelves, as well as online cartridge in ODS-L10 or ODS-L30M.

• 500 MB or more HDD free space is required for installation.
• About 300 GB of HDD free space is required to archive 1,000 hours of data (the required free space depends on the number and format of files to manage).
• When extracting metadata from files on a cartridge, a hard disk with free space greater than the total size of the files from which metadata is being extracted is required. Therefore, the maximum free space required is equivalent to the capacity of the cartridge.

Download and use the latest version of Optical Disc Archive Software. Also, update the drive firmware to the latest version.

Note:
Optical Disc Archive Filer cannot be started when using Content Manager. To use Optical Disc Archive Filer, first terminate the Content Manager service and then start Optical Disc Archive Filer. (Optical Disc Archive Filer is included with Optical Disc Archive Software.)
