WWK Insurance creates an immersive experience in the new visitor lounge with professional 98-inch BRAVIA displays from Sony
WWK life insurance is a German insurance company that specializes in innovative unit-linked life insurance products. In the reception area of the Munich company headquarters, a new, modern lounge area attracts the attention of visitors. The WWK lounge offers around 90 square meters of space for around 30 people and is equipped with the latest AV technology. VAV Medientechnik GmbH, which was commissioned to provide the AV equipment, relied on Sony for the display technology. Four 98-inch professional BRAVIA 4K displays that are networked together now form the visual core of the lounge and thus ensure the best visual experiences at customer or employee events.
- The WWK Insurance Group was looking for an advanced cloud-based digital signage solution in the new lounge area of its corporate headquarters. The aim was to create a flexible and dynamic display solution that contributes to both information transfer and brand building – even in challenging lighting conditions
- Four Sony 98-inch displays from the professional BRAVIA 4K series deliver high-quality visual content and skilfully highlight the insurance company’s new lounge area. The BRAVIA model FW-98BZ50L is used with an exceptional light intensity of 780 nits. Full Array Local Dimming increases the peak light output even further to a breathtaking 1500 nits. This ensures razor-sharp, high-contrast images even in daylight
- The new 98-inch displays from Sony are proving to be an extremely effective communication tool that not only improves employee information, but also strengthens the brand image of the WWK insurance group and clearly underlines the multifunctional approach of the new lounge area
The newly designed lounge in the reception area benefits from a generous glass roof, which lets in plenty of daylight and makes the rooms appear bright and inviting. To ensure the best view of the displays even in full daylight, four Sony 98-inch displays model FW-98BZ50L with a brightness of 780 nits were installed. It features a 4K 120Hz panel equipped with XR Motion Clarity and Motionflow XR to render fast on-screen movements more fluidly, clearly, and realistically than ever before.
Dynamic Environment for every use
WWK Insurance Group decided to implement an advanced cloud-based digital signage solution in its main building. The goal of the project was to create a flexible and dynamic display solution that contributes to both information delivery and brand building. The WWK lounge can therefore be used flexibly and is suitable for meetings and presentations as well as for informal events in a relaxed atmosphere. The lounge design is inspired by a football stadium. This gives the room a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
Flexible content presentation and control
A professional system running Crestron NVX controls the signals for the displays, while operation is via a 10-inch touch panel that enables intuitive control. The BRAVIA displays offer flexible connectivity options and can be used to display a variety of content, including presentations and wireless content transmission. A digital signage player takes over central monitoring and content control of the four displays.
The new lounge is located in the daylight-flooded reception area of the main building. It looks inviting and open, but places high demands on the display technology. To ensure rich colors and outstanding contrast from almost every viewing angle, even in bright daylight, we chose the 98-inch display of the BRAVIA FW-98BZ50L with a brightness of 780 nits.

Effective solutions for complex display requirements
The displays can be controlled intuitively via a signage content management system (CMS). It mirrors the physical 64:9 layout of the displays, making content design and customization much easier. Users can access the system from anywhere via the Signage Cloud solution. The synchronous and precise playback of videos on multiple displays as well as the individual representation of different content on each screen presented technical challenges. By using 64:9 and 16:9 slides in the HTML 5 signage editor, this challenge was successful coped. A player with four HDMI outputs controls all Sony displays, allowing content to be presented both as individual slides and as one large 64:9 slide.
Planning, implementation, and commissioning in just 30 days
The four professional BRAVIA 4K displays from Sony in the new WWK lounge are an integral part of the digitalization strategy of the WWK insurance group. The display technology used by Sony shows how tailored digital signage can function smoothly and thus improve the user experience. The time frame of the project, including the planning phase, was four weeks.
