Sony inspires creativity and showcases superior innovation at ISE 2022

Weybridge UK, 10^th May 2022 – Sony has today revealed its latest line up of AV products and solutions at ISE 2022, demonstrating its vision to inspire creativity and stimulate curiosity in the corporate, education, retail, and home projection industries. The impressive portfolio on show includes the new compact speaker for large displays, *SLS-1A, its flagship BRAVIA® 4K professional display series including the *100” and 32”, and two Native 4K SXRD laser home projectors, *VPL-XW7000ES and *VPL-XW5000ES, launched just last month.

Visitors to Hall 3, booth 3E400, will have the opportunity to speak with Sony experts about key trends and industry challenges such as hybrid working and learning environments, and improved quality in content sharing and collaboration with advanced AV technologies across corporate, education, and retail sectors. Attendees will also experience two Full HD and 4K x 2K Crystal LED Displays with breath-taking visuals, ideal for automotive, virtual production, retail, corporate lobbies, showrooms, and entertainment environments.

They will also have the chance to experience the latest portfolio of products and solutions in person, including newer products for the first time since their announcement.

Filling the world with powerful images

The flagship BRAVIA® series of 4K professional displays, including the recently released FW-100BZ40J 100” and FW-32BZ30J 32” displays, will be on show offering superb picture quality and enhanced usability for businesses including corporations, hotels, retail stores, and small to large venues. These displays combine unrivalled imagery, a powerful new SoC platform for a better user experience, customised setting modes, and a new design optimised for professionals. Also on display will be two impressive Full HD and 4K x 2K Crystal LED displays with breath-taking visuals, equipped with the “X1™ for Crystal LED” high performance image quality processor ideal for automotive, retail, corporate lobbies, showrooms, and entertainment environments. Visitors will be able to enjoy the captivating visuals and immersive experience from the Crystal LED right here on the booth.

To support its spectacular Crystal LED & BRAVIA® 4K professional displays, Sony announced yesterday a new high-performance powered line-array speaker, SLS-1A, combining fine beam control, and flexible installation to deliver high quality sound, making it perfectly suited for use with large displays within corporate, education and retail environments.

Also on display is the latest range of advanced 3LCD laser projectors demonstrated, including recently announced VPL-FHZ80 and VPL-FHZ85 which combine brightness with efficiency, installation flexibility, and advanced operational capabilities. These projectors offer high brightness (VPL-FHZ85 at 7,300lm / VPL-FHZ80 at 6,000lm) and are a reliable option for a wide range of corporate, education, museum, and entertainment simulation applications.

Empowering businesses and aiding true flexibility

Sony TEOS continues to play a key role in delivering on post-pandemic demands through its cloud offering, UX redesign and hybrid office schemes. To add to its impressive ecosystem of workplace management applications, Sony has today announced TEOS Meet, a combination of our mirroring and room & desk booking solutions. With Microsoft Teams integration and full compatibility with Android and IoS devices, TEOS meet is the next generation of workspace management and content sharing. TEOS Meet will be on display, and visitors will be able to demo the update alongside Sony’s digital signage, and meeting room management solutions. 

The new era of Home Projection

Sony has been delivering the highest quality projectors for its customers to enjoy immersive entertainment experiences for 50 years this year, and in April 2022, it announced two new Native 4K SXRD laser home projectors to its line-up, the VPL-XW7000ES & VPL-XW5000ES. Featuring the world’s smallest SXRD 0.61” panel (3840 x 2160) enabling the ultimate viewing experience with high resolution and high contrast in a compact chassis design. The market leading projectors include new wide dynamic range optics, 2,000lm & 3,200lm brightness, and are powered by Sony’s “X1™ Ultimate for projector”, the best-in-class picture processor that is based on technology used for its BRAVIA® TV series and optimised for projectors. 

Making Higher Education more accessible

Sony continues to provide a range of advanced solutions that support hybrid learning to make lessons more engaging as well as providing support for teachers and enabling better student outcomes. These solutions include MAS-A100, the IP-based ceiling beamforming microphone enabling flexible and creative “hands-free” lectures and presentations. Edge Analytics Solution (REA-C1000) supports users in creating impactful video content with minimal resources with automatic handwriting extraction and a Chroma key-less CG Overlay feature to extract the presenter and overlay them onto any background without the need for a dedicated backscreen or specialist training. And remote-controlled PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) & Remote Cameras that combine exceptional image quality with powerful zoom and smooth operation. The new SLS-1A compact speaker can be used in partnership with our MAS-A100 beamforming microphone, to improve the performance of its speech reinforcement technology in university lecture theatres and classrooms.
