After 200 years, Bach’s music reborn in high resolution
Sony 100 Series High-Res microphone

The 100 Series High-Resolution microphone, Sony’s most advanced microphone ever, got a chance to show what it could do in September 2018. In collaboration with Stuart & Sons, makers of the world’s first 108-key piano, Sony recorded the Sonata in A minor, BWV 965: VII. Gigue in high resolution, exactly as Bach wrote; a feat impossible with the tonal range of a traditional 88-key piano.

Key members of the 100 Series development team and others involved in the historic recording in Australia talk about Sony’s commitment to realizing the aspirations of musicians and music creators.
