Sony Brings Stunning Visuals to the University of Southampton with BRAVIA 4K Professional Displays

Sony has installed a new suite of screens across the campus of the University of Southampton, providing a more engaging learning experience for students.

As one of the founding members of the prestigious Russell Group of research-intensive universities in the UK, the University of Southampton holds extremely high standards for the education of its students. A key part of this is providing them with the best technology possible to improve learning.

The University realised its screens were in need of upgrading, as without great quality screens with vibrant colours and excellent image quality it’s hard to engage students with the information that’s on them. The University of Southampton via its detailed technical specification for LED screens opted for tech partner Sony, whose products and solutions have been used throughout the institution in the past.

Key for the university was that the displays used should be high quality, meeting the University’s extensive requirements and providing students with the best possible tools to learn from. Working with Sony, the university overhauled its large screens throughout the campus teaching environment and installed Sony BRAVIA 4K Professional Displays. The screens were rolled out across the campus, in various learning environments and ‘mission critical’ facilities at the university such as reception areas, seminar rooms and lecture theatres. This made using the campus an all-round improved experience, for everything from navigating around it, to receiving important messages, and even studying itself.

Over 150 BRAVIA 4K Displays including BZ35J and BZ40H models were installed in a range of sizes, demonstrating the range of uses and adaptability of such displays, across the university.
