Introducing a new proposition for users to streamline the process of acquiring live content, the camcorders will be enhanced with Simple Live Streaming, providing content creators with the ability to shoot wherever and however they want.
The Simple Live Streaming ensures that ultimate mobility is achieved. As standalone operations, the easy-to-use camcorders only require Wi-Fi connection without additional gear. The Simple Live Streaming allows users to conduct live streaming and upload onto major video sharing sites and social media platforms in a straightforward manner anytime, anywhere.
A new landmark in 8K broadcasting
8K acquisition at prestigious events and selected cinematic instances can be extremely useful in the context of oversampling. Generating 8K, 4K and HD signals simultaneously and apply different colour spaces and OETF to each signal, Sony’s UHC-8300 camera system equips broadcasters the ability to capture and deliver content with the resolution and range that is right for each production. Designed to cover all the features necessary for premium productions including live broadcasts, entertainment and factual high-end documentaries, the camera captures pristine 8K images (7680×4320) at 120P. Delivering well balanced high-resolution footage with an impressive deep depth of field, the camera can support BT.2020 wide colour space, allowing content creators to realise 8K images with unprecedented clarity, colour and realism.
Towards maximum creativity freedom
Designed exclusively for high-end cinematography, VENICE continues to deliver not only exceptional images but also complete flexibility, creative freedom and its established workflow to match filmmaker’s shooting requirements. Following the release of Version 4.0 this June, VENICE Version 5.0, planned for January 2020, will further enable cinematographers to shoot at speeds of up to 90fps at 6K 2.39:1 and 72fps at 6K 17:9/1.85:1. This addition enables VENICE to capture three times slow motion at 24p even in 6K. Cinematographers can utilize the same camera across multiple speeds, maintaining the full-frame shallow depth of field, as well as the high picture quality of oversampling in 6K.
Perfection in every detail in today’s live production environments
Responding to the needs of 4K, HDR, HFR, IP and wireless, Sony’s widely acclaimed HDC Series system cameras furnish media operators with premium content in a powerful, portable and highly cost-effective package that maintains compatibility with current production infrastructure and workflows. The latest HDC-5500 system camera benefits from the latest imaging innovations that elevates clarity, colour, sensitivity and dynamic range with its 2/3-inch 4K global shutter three CMOS sensor. Used with the new HDCU-5500 camera control unit (CCU), the pair offers Ultra High Bitrate (UHB) transmission that transmits 2 channels of 4K signals at a time, without base band processor unit. The new CCU provides both 12G-SDI 4K output interface and IP interfaces, SMPTE ST 2110 and NMOS IS-04/05 by hardware option.
With the growing demand for video content in various scenes including education, corporate and government bodies, Sony’s HXR-MC88 HD palm-sized camcorder captures professional quality HD content, utilizing its large 14.2 megapixel 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor with less noise, both dark and bright conditions. Featuring the Fast Hybrid Auto Focus System to seamlessly capture motion, the camcorder is equipped with built-in 4 Step ND filters and 12x optical zoom with options to double to 24x and 48x. Streaming live events is a breeze through a simple and affordable production ecosystem, when paired with the MCX-500 multi-camera live producer.
