Responding to the challenges of COVID-19

Occupying an expansive campus on the shore of Lake Geneva, the University of Lausanne is a leading higher education and research institution that offers teaching to more than 15,000 students. The university boasts an international atmosphere, with a fifth of students and a third of its teaching staff of non-Swiss origin. Restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic saw the University of Lausanne close its doors to students on campus. This demanded a fundamental re-evaluation of the way it communicates and delivers teaching to its students.

Our long-standing and trusting relationship with Sony made us very confident that they would be able to deliver a solution tailored to our requirements and for our 15,000+ students in these unprecedented times.
