Overview

Transmits 4K*1, HD and SD*2 video streams as low-latency IP data stream of less than 1 frame*3
The NU-IP3T converts medical imaging signals - including 4K*1, HD and SD*2 video plus control signals - to a low-latency of less than 1 frame IP data stream for networked transmission to variety of medical equipment*4.

Video images and related data are transmitted as a combination of native streams and securely encrypted bandwidth-optimized proxy streams. This provides medical teams viewing high resolution image during surgery, as well as the same footage with low network bandwidth requirements for recording, live video distribution and other applications.

The compact NU-IP3T is easily installed on a medical trolley, with its chemical-resistant exterior housing making it suitable for use in the OR.

The NU-IP3T is complemented by the NU-IP3R that receives IP streams, converting them to 4K or HD visually lossless video data with low latency of less than 1 frame*3 for viewing on a surgical video monitor.

Features

Support of different network architectures
The NU-IP3T transmits any video streams from a connected medical device over a CAT5e or higher cable, or a fibre network cable. Copper cable can be used with existing network infrastructures under a low network load outside the OR. Fibre can be used if necessary to reduce electromagnetic interference e.g. from electronic scalpels.
Modality control
The NU-IP3T is equipped with a GPIO interface to trigger start/stop and other commands to connected devices. Other input/output functions can be implemented via the same interface.
Data Safety
Data and command interfaces to the NU-IP3T are encrypted using SSL, while video is secured with AES128 encryption used with a GCM rolling key scheme. This prevents third-party eavesdropping, spoofing and other tampering to ensure the integrity of data between the transmitter, receiver and server.
User Feedback
The NU-IP3T provides valuable visual feedback for clinical teams in the Operating Room. A status LED confirms power and correct system unit operation, while blinking patterns indicate loss of network connection or absence of an IP address. 
Large video format support*4
The NU‐IP3T supports SD*5 via HD, up to 4K*1 @60p 4:4:4*6 video input.
