The new line-up achieves superb realism, transforming displays in workplaces and public areas with simplified solution

Asia Pacific, 18 July 2017 – Sony today introduces new additions to its range of 4K LED professional displays1–
    FWD-65BZ40E,
FWD-55BZ40E, FWD-65BZ35E, FWD-55BZ35E, FWD-55BZ30E, and FWD-49BZ30E. The displays are designed as a powerful signage management solution and encourage uniformed control displays and content, simple and cost-effective implementation and operation as well as an intuitive and easy-to-use user interface. The new line-up allows users to create compelling signage and transform workspaces’ and public areas’ display with simplified workflow and optimized facilities management of AV equipment.

The latest B2B displays builds on the success of its predecessors and achieve even more compelling, immersive visual experiences with Sony’s exclusive technology. Supporting 4K HDR that brings out clarity and details, the new line-up is equipped with 4K HDR Processor X1™, which allows object-based HDR remaster as well as Super Bit Mapping™ 4K HDR to achieve incredible realism. Together with TRILUMINOS™ Display, the new line-up faithfully reproduces every shade and hue by mapping colours from a wider palette. Further, by precisely balancing the light output across the screen, dimming some areas, and boosting others, Sony’s X-tended Dynamic Range PRO™ makes darker areas darker and brighter scenes brighter, revitalizing every scene with the widest range of brightness possible.

Packed with superb technology that realizes incredible contrasts and vividness, Sony’s latest line-up simplifies workflows with its uniformed control displays and signage content. Navigating around the simple and intuitive user interface is definitely a breeze for administrators, who are able to create, schedule, monitor, control and manage content off-site via an online server. In addition, users can combine text, graphics and video with live web feeds and IPTV to produce compelling displays thanks to the integrated support for HTML5, making it easier and cost-effective to create digital signage content.

On top of the simplified workflows, Sony aims to be the sole point of contact for its customers by rounding up all relevant parties to create an end-to-end solution that satisfy their growing displays needs. With this in mind, the new displays resolve office communication issues with a growing range of B2B-focused applications to create a customized and smarter display experience. Options to remotely control displays over IP via RJ45 by web API or via RS-232C is available for power, volume, channel change and other functions. With access to cloud-based applications, users will be able to remotely create, view and edit content on-the-go and send them to the displays from their professional and personal devices including smartphones, tablets, laptops etc. With support for Android capabilities, the new line-up allows quick customization and extra functionality with applications such as content sharing, video conferencing and more.

The new displays from Sony also optimize facilities management with the in-built basic Meeting Room App, which makes every meeting smoother and more efficient with its complete information-sharing solution for workplace and corporate environments. Paid options are available and include advanced functions such as compatibility with Microsoft Exchange server and Cybozu Office, and whiteboard option for sharing notes and sketches. For even greater versatility, an optional overlay turns the panels into a multipoint touch sensitive display.

The cost-effective displays easily integrate into 3rd party control system through IP or RS-232C, and offers everything needed to build a complete entry-level networked digital signage solution with no set-up boxes or player hardware needed. Hence, administrators can play out content directly over HDMI, from a connected USB device or over the network. Further, the panel’s LED backlight is energy efficient compared to conventional fluorescent backlighting, reducing running costs and allows an ultra-slim and discreet profile. Further, it offers flexible mounting and versatile control options for easy integration, blending elegantly into a wide range of environments including corporate, retail and education.

“At Sony, we continue to see strong demand for flat panel displays equipped with simple and intuitive solutions,” said Fukumoto Tadahiro, Head of Professional Display Marketing, Business & Industrial Solutions Marketing, Professional Solutions Company (PSAP), Sony Electronics Asia Pacific. “A smarter way to engage audiences, our new line-up is designed to combine ultimate picture quality with the best professional features.
