Focused value-added IT reseller Storm Technologies have chosen Sony Professional Displays and Solutions to implement a suite of technologies for both its headquarter office and logistics centre in Watford, with TEOS Manage, and Connect workplace solutions running across various Sony Digital Display products. By deploying a full suite of corporate solutions from Sony, the company now has the flexibility to customise and deliver real time information through optimised content management which is activated across a unified and branded signage eco-system.
As we move back into the workplace, businesses are increasingly looking for the best ways in which to ensure all employees are engaged and in a positive, collaborative working environment. With the ease of content sharing and collaborative information flow that we have become accustomed to online, translating this back into the world of corporate offices is a top priority for many organisations. Storm Technologies’ Service Delivery Team understood this and decided that they needed to be able to provide timely, accurate and engaging information to the rest of the business to maintain a consistent line of communication and branding. For Storm specifically, this means broadcasting in real-time on things like the status of customer overnight back-ups and client monitoring, as well as internal sales floor team numbers and even kudos messages to improve employee motivation and celebrate success.
“We were our own customer in this instance, so the solutions had to meet all the businesses needs and satisfy stakeholders across every department (sales, solutions, service desk, accounts etc),” says Will Green, Service Delivery Manager at Storm Technologies. “TEOS offers us a truly centralised system that allows us to fully customise all content and do so with minimal to no changes on our existing systems and dashboards.”
“It’s never been a more important time to invest in the space people are working from, so creating an ecosystem with the Sony technologies that not only offers consistent branding and an attractive styling, but also provides a function as real-time information sharing and a system on which we can give recognition and appreciation to our team members when they achieve their goals,” Green adds.
It was important to find a management system that would work with their existing internal reporting systems, that was easy and quick to set up, but be more than just a dashboard. Storm wanted this dashboard to be fully customisable and respond to changes in the data quickly and allow content to toggle between internal and external information, depending on who is visiting the site. To achieve this, they needed a solution that could provide a single point of control for real-time efficient content streaming, as well as a suite of displays that would support high quality images to achieve the best environment for their team and customers when in the office.
For customers, an example of this is in the ability to present tailored welcome messages on the reception video wall for visitors, with attendee names, company and their logo ghosted over the corporate video, for that extra personal touch. As for employees, Euros 2021 was a real highlight with Sony’s solutions in place, the team were able to watch from screens at the bar area, enjoying drinks while some of the later England games were shown, transitioning from corporate to social at the click of a button.
Upon seeing the solutions from Sony working well in a large Enterprise customer’s office, the team at Storm worked with Sony to create a custom setup that was tailored to suit their business needs, with the option to scale up and out should they need to in the future. “Since deploying the solutions from Sony, we have been able to deliver on our hopes of creating an engaging workspace with solutions that work seamlessly across multiple displays throughout the building,” adds Will Green.
“Clients have since visited or seen it in the background of Teams calls and have already started to enquire about the solution,” Green concludes. “It shows that we truly understand the importance of our customer’s IT setup, and that we champion this for our own employees too.”
The solution implemented included the following technologies from Sony:
With these solutions and products, Storm have achieved practical benefits such as simplified meeting room bookings that make it quick to see availability and allow staff to book meetings on the fly from the tablets themselves. The media player allows the office to seamlessly stream content onto their 3×3 Video Wall, creating an eye catching and on-brand display.
After the success of this implementation, Storm are looking at other ways they can expand their Sony TEOS deployment.
