Crafted for consistent performance, BRAVIA Professional Displays offer our customers reliability at all moments

To mitigate the business impact of defects in BRAVIA Professional Displays, Sony products undergo rigorous quality testing. This testing anticipates potential damage that may accumulate in various operational settings, including high-stress usage scenarios and demanding commercial conditions.

In addition to strict quality tests, Sony applies its original design testing standards that have been cultivated throughout its history of television manufacturing. By applying these standards throughout the entire process from the selection of solder, parts, and materials to the design and production phase, we ensure robustness that can withstand even the most demanding applications.

Strengthening durability in harsh environments

Environmental change durability test

We verify stable operation by exposing the product repeatedly to high and low temperature conditions, as well as high and low humidity conditions. Products are subject to various loads, including power cycling and changes in resolutions and frequencies of input signals, ensuring there are no abnormalities in performance, operability, and behavior.*

Achieving stable operation under a diverse range of installation conditions

Installation layout test

We conduct tests for ensuring that our products deliver stable operation in installation conditions imaginable for various operational arrangements, including vertical orientation and tilted setups. *

Ensuring stable screen operation over long-term use

Long-term reliability test

In order to achieve high-quality and reliable products, we test long-hours of conductivity under a set of our own conditions to examine whether long hours of use have any impact on quality and reliability.*

Maintaining robustness during transportation

Vibration, drop, and tip-over tests

By conducting various tests anticipating possible damage during product transportation (drops, vibration, fall-over, etc.), we confirm that our products do not sustain any damage to their performance, functionality, and exterior from transportation.*

Securing durable components

Selecting and procuring components that withstand long-term use

In addition to key devices like panels and circuit boards, we procure durable components, including all electronic and exterior parts, from certified Sony Green Partner suppliers to ensure long-term use.*

Ensuring uniformity in color display and brightness

Uniformity adjustment

Being a collection of various parts, uniformity in panels can be compromised by variations in the individual parts. Appropriate corrections are made to achieve smooth and even brightness and color across the entire screen and display video images as intended by the creator.*

Adjusting color for each and every product

Color adjustment

Individual differences in liquid crystal panels and backlights can be a critical defect for professional applications such as color management. To absorb individual differences in sets, we measure gradation, white point, and other properties for each device. Each device is measured and adjusted accordingly.*

Advancing wide viewing angle design**

Wide viewing angle with constant brightness and color display

Our design for a wide viewing angle ensures minimal picture variation, even when viewed from different positions and angles. The design maintains consistent color and brightness across a wide viewing range, making our products suitable for a broad variety of applications and environments.*
