Sony Upgrades Its World’s First 3LCD Laser Projector With The Launch of the VPL-FHZ57
ASIA PACIFIC, 27 January 2016 – Sony today announced the VPL-FHZF7, its newest 3LCD Laser projector which builds on the success of the world’s first 3LCD laser light source projector, the VPL-FHZ55. Sony’s laser projector technology continues to evolve with the VPL-FHZ57, which will replace the ground-breaking VPL-FHZ55. With 4,100 lumens of colour brightness, the new VPL-FHZ57 is designed to effortlessly fit into almost any environment – from educational institutions, corporate, medical to visitor attractions.
The new model delivers WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200), clear crisp and bright presentations in any lighting condition, edge blending, wide range vertical/horizontal lens shift, a variety of energy-saving settings, and up to 20,000 hours of virtually maintenance-free operation. The VPL-FHZ57 also offers integration flexibility, allowing the projector to be positioned freely at any angle, on its side or even upside down.
Using Sony´s 3LCD BrightEra™ laser light source technology, the VPL-FHZ57 packs all of the benefits of vivid colour 3LCD technology with a long life laser light source, which provides easier operation and virtually no maintenance compared to conventional lamp-based projection. The 20,000 hours of light source operation time translates to substantial savings in time and money, reducing the resource and costs normally associated with bulb replacement.
“Sony’s VPL-FHZ55, the world’s first 3LCD laser projector, helped to establish Sony as the laser projector´s market leader”, said Tadahiro Fukumoto, General Manager, Visual Presentation Solutions Division, Professional Solutions Company (PSAP), Sony Electronics Asia Pacific. “Today we’re excited to introduce the VPL-FHZ57 and build upon the success of its predecessor. This new model delivers better whites, colour gamut and an upgraded contrast ratio to match the quality of our recently introduced VPL-FHZ60 and VPL-FHZ65 laser models to offer a ground-breaking image quality and reliability to our customers”.
The VPL-FHZ57 has a built-in HDBaseT port, enabling easier connectivity and reducing total system costs by using fewer cables, signal extenders and receiver boxes, and decreasing the risk of failure points.
The new VPL-FHZ57 laser projector is available now in selected Asia Pacific countries. For more information, visit pro.sony-asia.com/projector.
