Our new BRC-X1000/1 and BRC-H800/1 Pan Tilt Zoom cameras come with a full 1.0-type sensor that delivers big benefits. Unlike typical PTZ cameras with 1/2-inch or 1/2.3 sensors, these cameras use the Exmor R® CMOS sensor for:
These remote cameras have it all: the giant 1.0-type image sensor, powerful zoom lens and the legendary smoothness of Sony’s pan, tilt and zoom. That why our BRC cameras are the go-to cameras for auditoriums, large classrooms, event halls and civic centers.

The huge 1.0-type sensor gives you a larger area for imaging than other cameras, which feature as many as three sensors. The BRC-X1000/1 and BRC-H800/1 Pan Tilt Zoom cameras incorporate our latest back-illuminated CMOS Exmor R sensor. The sensor delivers high resolution, fantastic low-light performance, as well as offering greater depth-of-field control. Exmor R technology achieves 2x higher sensitivity with less noise when compared with conventional image sensors with the same pixel size.
 1.0-type sensor
 1.3-type sensor
Typical PTZ cameras use 1/2-type sensors. Some models use even smaller 1/2.3 types. Our BRC-X1000/1 and BRC-H800/1 are leading the way with a full 1.0-type sensor. The X1000/1 delivers 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840 x 2160) at 30p and Full HD images at 60p with no sacrifice in low-light sensitivity. Thanks in part to the back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor design, minimum illumination is an impressive 1.7 lux – perfect for low-light applications.
