Contactless audio for better sounding lectures
Enabling truly hands-free and contactless lectures and presentations with advanced speech reinforcement technology.
How can we help?
Our versatile beamforming microphone picks up crisp, clear sound in lecture theatres and classrooms. With hygienic, fully contactless operation, it’s equally useful for face-to-face teaching, lecture capture and remote learning. and with easy installation and networked management, it’s a convenient audio solution for any teaching environment.

Hygienic, contactless audio capture
Our ceiling-mounted MAS-A100 beamforming microphone captures the lecturer’s spoken words with impressive quality. Teachers can focus on their presentation without having to talk directly into a handheld microphone, or fiddle with an easy to lose clip-on lavalier microphone. There’s also no need to pass microphones between users. As a totally contactless solution that avoids all physical handling, the MAS-A100 is a valuable contributor to reduced infection risks in any teaching space.
For face-to-face teaching, recording or hybrid learning
The MAS-A100 offers more than ordinary microphones. Its main output is ideal for ‘live’ speech reinforcement in a classroom, while a second output channel provides optimised speech quality for lecture capture and remote learning applications. Advanced digital processing with intelligent feedback reduction ensures crisp speech with minimised background noise and no nasty howling (feedback).
Easy installation and networked management
Our beamforming microphone sounds good to college ICT staff, too. Installation is quick and easy: a single network cable carries audio and power, while support for the DANTE digital audio interface allows easy linkage with third-party systems. Audio settings for multiple microphones in different rooms can be adjusted remotely with free MASM-1 management software. What’s more there’s no need to worry about replacing costly batteries in clip-on or handheld mics.
Examples of installations
Recording a lecture in a small classroom
In this example a single MAS-A100 beamforming microphone is used to record lectures in a small room measuring around 7x9m with a ceiling height of 3m. Mounted above the lecturer, the microphone can also capture audience sounds over a 7m range.
Reinforcing and capturing a lecture in a medium-sized room
In a medium-sized room with a width of 10m, a depth of 20m, and a ceiling height of about 3m, three MAS-A100 units are mounted on the ceiling at intervals of 2.7 m above the lecturer are used to reinforce speech and capture audio. The Main output and the Rec output of these MAS-A100 units are mixed by a Dante DSP mixer and connected to a speech reinforcement system and a recording system, respectively.
Remote and hybrid lectures
In a medium-sized room with a width of 10m, a depth of 20m, and a ceiling height of about 3m, three MAS-A100 units are mounted on the ceiling at intervals of 2.7 m above the lecturer are used to reinforce speech and record audio. Another three MAS-A100 units mounted on the ceiling above the audience are used to record audio.
