IP camera extension adaptor for remote production (transmitter)

Where to buy

Overview

The IP camera extension adaptor simplifies IP Live remote production with Sony’s system cameras.
Connecting directly to the camera head, the compact 1/3 rack width adaptor supports the SMPTE ST 2110 suite of standards for live production. Signals from the camera head can be transmitted over IP networks to a remote production centre, bypassing the distance limitations of conventional SDI/fibre connections.
This convenient solution also simplifies resource sharing across multiple locations, allowing camera signals to be routed over IP to another studio without needing to re-connect fibre cables.

Features

Cost effective IP upgrade
The IP camera extension adaptor allows broadcasters, OB providers and live production specialists to upgrade to the benefits of IP Live production without needing to replace their current HDC camera investments.
Efficient resource sharing
The IP camera extension adaptor allows faster, more cost-effective use of shared production resource across multiple studios and locations. While conventional SDI infrastructures tie one camera to a single CCU by fibre cable, the IP camera extension adaptor allows flexible reconfiguration of cameras, CCUs and other live equipment over IP without time-consuming reconnection of fibre cables. This reduces the quantity of live equipment that needs to be kept at each site, allowing resources to be shared efficiently.
Compact 1/3 rack size portable adaptor with SMPTE ST 2110 support without any hardware option.
Power supply to the camera and system interfaces including IP Tally and IP INCOM.
Minimize operational requirement of equipment on remote location in during remote production.
HDC-3500, HDC-3100 and HDC-2500 cameras instantly connect to ST2110 IP network.
