Overview
Omni-directional flat shape lavalier microphone
The ECM-FT5 is an easy-to-hide flat-shape Electret condenser lavalier microphone delivering excellent sound reproduction in a stylish, ultra-miniature unit. It is also water-resistant and supplied with useful accessories, such as a tie-clip, taping mount and windscreen, making it ideal for a variety of applications where a discreet microphone system is required.
Three versions available
The ECM-FT5BC is supplied with a Sony 4-pin connector (SMC9-4P), for use with DWX and WL-800 Series wireless systems. The ECM-FT5BMP is supplied with a Sony 4-pin (SMC9-4P) connector for use with UWP Series wireless systems. The ECM-FT5B is supplied with a XLR connector.

Features
Flat shape makes it easy to hide
The slim 4.9-mm profile of the ultra-miniature ECM-FT5 is designed to be easily concealed under clothing, and its sleek contours help prevent noise pick-up from garments.
Durable metal body blocks interference
Unique to Sony, the metal body of Sony’s ECM-FT5 offers increased durability and improved audio quality by blocking vibration and resonance. Another advantage of the metal construction is it shields the microphone, blocking RF noise interference.
Professional quality sound reproduction
The ECM-FT5 has a frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz, sensitivity of -43 dB and an inherent noise level of less than 26 dB SPL.
Water-resistant design
A moisture repellent screen covers the microphone aperture to help prevent sweat and dampness from entering the case.

Tie clip and taping mount for attaching to clothing
A tie clip attaches the microphone to clothing by clipping on a pocket, button-hole or other suitable parts of a garment. A taping mount can attaches the microphone directly to the fabric’s surface.
Windscreen
A small windscreen is used to suppress strong wind noise.
Carrying case
The supplied case provides a robust housing for the ECM-FT5 and its accessories.
