The PSZ-RA series is an ultra-fast portable RAID storage unit that greatly reduces transfer times and contributes to an efficient 4K workflow. Transfer speeds of up to 440MB/s, reducing the transfer times of 4K video files to one third current transfer times*. The robust and shock-resistance design with built-in handle ensures safe and reliable storage in the field. The unit provides both USB 3.1 Gen 1 and Thunderbolt 2 connections support both PC Windows and Mac operations.

Shock-resistance and reliability for safe and easy portability in the field
Internal and external damper function protects the RAID storage in the field. Shock-resistance of MIL 20G/11ms (in operating mode), 50Gms/11ms (in non-operating mode).* The unit offers good vibration resistance for operating in a running car, realized with rubber dampers. A built-in handle provides easy portability.

Our large capacity Professional RAID line up is designed to provide content creators and film makers with up to 12TB of storage to support multiple day and large event shooting with multiple cameras in the field, including 4K video.
By adding 8TB and 12TB to the existing 4TB and 6TB options Sony now provides the options you need to ensure you can store and edit your footage while spending longer in the field, all with the reliability you can expect from Sony.

Transfer speeds of up to 440MB/s (up to 360MB/s* with 8TB/12TB) greatly reduces transfer times and contributes to an efficient 4K workflow. When transferring video files total up to 1TB, 150 minutes reduces to 50 minutes*, one third of current transfer time* using with SxS PRO+ memory card (SBP-256D) , SxS Reader Writer (SBAC-US30) and PSZ-RA6T.

Memory Media Utility*, dedicated PC software for Sony memory media products, provides enhanced media management. Memory Media Utility gives you the tools you need to obtain important device information - such as remaining capacity, file system and RAID mode. In addition, disk status information can be obtained to allow the optimum disk replacement time to be determined and the available disk reformat facilities will allow rapid data-cleansing, before disk re-use.
