Features
Multiple industry-standard codecs ensure best compression format for any application
This multi-codec camera supports three compression formats – H.264 for optimum video image quality at low bandwidth; MPEG4 where efficient video compression is required; and JPEG for applications where bandwidth is not an issue and where discrete frames are required (such as video analytics). The camera can generate multiple streams simultaneously. This means that the camera can use the appropriate compression format for every kind of application.
Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability delivers easy installation and reduced infrastructure
The SNC-EB520 is powered using Power-over-Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af), via the same Ethernet cable used for data transfer. This feature greatly reduces installation costs, speeds deployment and facilitates centralized power management.
“Exmor”® CMOS® Sensor for improved image acquisition
Derived from Sony’s broadcast TV product range, the “Exmor” CMOS sensor is one of the highest quality available, providing high resolution images with low noise characteristics for improved image acquisition.
Easy Focus function for reduced installation time
The Easy Focus function provides quick and reliable lens focussing during installation and operation. It can be activated by dedicated buttons on the camera body, or via the web interface, allowing remote adjustment, greatly reducing installation and maintenance time and costs.
DEPA delivers intelligent, customisable image capture and alarm triggering
The Sony DEPA platform offers intelligent video analytics, combining built-in intelligence in the camera itself with object-filters to provide customizable local alarm triggers, as well as providing a meta-data output stream for advanced downstream video analytics.
ONVIF compliance for smooth and immediate exchange of information
The ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) defines a common protocol for the exchange of information between network video devices including automatic device discovery and video streaming.
