Overview

Efficiently manage 4K /HD video and still image files

The CMDS-MS20MD is a 4K-capable Content Management System application that streamlines the storage, management and archive of medical videos, still images and other associated document files.

With the availability of a growing range of medical cameras and video devices, a key issue is the effective management of content from all these sources. The CMDS-MS20MD offers an ideal solution. It can manage video content created by medical recorders such as the Sony HVO-4000MT, HVO-1000MD, HVO-3000MT, and HVO-5x0MD (Surgical Version), as well as providing a video editing function. Streaming video content can also be captured directly from connected IP cameras and live encoders.

Integrating smoothly with modern hospital IT environments including EMR (Electronic Medical Record), the CMDS-MS20MD scales readily to accommodate a large number of connected recorders and client terminals. The server application runs in a Windows environment, while the client application runs in popular web browsers.

Since the CMS-MS20MD complies with HIPAA*, data is stored securely, with access granted only to authorised persons.

Features

Archive video and still image files

This server application is capable of managing 4K content created with the HVO-4000MT 4K recorder. It can also store, manage and distribute video content created by medical recorders such as the Sony HVO-1000MD and HVO-3000MT and HVO-5x0MD (Surgical Version). Please note: the CMDS-MS20MD provides the dedicated application to replay 4K content.

Easy addition of patient information and metadata

The CMDS-MS20MD can add patient information and other associated metadata to content from compatible recorders (HVO-4000MT, HVO-1000MD, HVO-3000MT and HVO-5x0MD Surgical Version), and hospital information systems such as EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and RIS (Radiology Information System). NB: data from RIS is not applicable to the HVO-5x0MD.

Editing video

Video In/Out points can be set, adjusted and deleted in the editing menu. Videos can be played, saved to a different file or merged.

View and manage content using wide range of client apps

Server application runs on Windows Server 2012. The CMS client application runs on supported browsers including IE10/IE11, Chrome (Windows) and Safari (Mac).

Content stored in convenient case folders

Video and still image files are stored in 'case folders'. Content can be searched readily by date or metadata. Each folder displays content conveniently in three tabbed views, showing original video/image files, edited content and other associated files that can be manually uploaded.

Automatically creates proxy files

Full HD scene files correspond directly to 4K files transferred from the HVO-4000MT. This allows files to be viewed or downloaded without requiring a 4K-cabable client PC. Low bit-rate proxies created automatically from high resolution video files are ideal for streaming with reduced network bandwidth needs.

Quick, easy scene searches

Thumbnail images from video clips are displayed as thumbnails on a timeline, making it easy to search and locate specific points within a lengthy video.

Secure access and control

"The CMS-MS20MD is HIPAA* compliant. Data is stored securely, with access granted only to authorized persons. User actions are logged to provide additional security.
*The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 was enacted by the United States Congress"

Capture and store streaming video

Real-time video streamed from IP cameras and live encoders can be directly received using optional CMDT-RS10MD software and stored as video files.
