Overview
Bright, beautiful true 4K pictures, with industry-leading contrast, low operating costs and easy set-up
The SRX-R515DS combines two Sony SRX-R515 projectors to deliver a 30,000 lumen total output. This dual configuration delivers reference light levels for 2D presentation on screens up to 19.5m (14ft-L on white screen with 1.8 gain), or 3D on screens as large as 23m (4.5ft-L on silver screen with 2.4 gain) and is fully DCI compliant.
The SRX-R515DS projector pair can be operated either side-by-side or stacked vertically to suit any projection booth. Set-up is quick and easy, using the smart auto alignment system that comes included with the package.
Audiences are pulled right into the action with immersive 4K detail and rich, lifelike colour. Utilising the 8,000:1 contrast ratio performance of the SRX-R515 projector head, the SRX-R515DS assures best-possible image quality with deep blacks and sparkling highlights.
The reliable HPM (High Pressure Mercury) multi-lamp array ensures show continuity by removing the risk of 'dark screen' outages. Even if one lamp fails during the performance, presentation continues uninterrupted at slightly reduced brightness, without impairing audience enjoyment of the show. Replacement of individual lamp cartridges between screenings is quick and easy, with no need for special protective clothing. Operators can also elect to run each show with a reduced number of lamps lit in line with their operational preferences.
It’s quick and easy to reconfigure the SRX-R515DS between 2D and 3D presentation without requiring lens swaps. Unlike other ‘triple flash’ solutions, 3D with the SRX R515DS is smooth, natural and easy on the eye.

Features
Bright, high quality 4K projection solution for larger cinema screens
The SRX-R515DS combines two Sony SRX-R515 4K projectors that conform to the DCI specification to deliver a 30,000 lumen total output. This dual configuration delivers reference light levels for 2D presentation on screens up to 19.5m (14ft-L on white screen with 1.8 gain), or 3D on screens as large as 23m (4.5ft-L on silver screen with 2.4 gain).
True 4K images for the highest on-screen picture quality
The SRX-R515DS projector pair delivers true 4K projection conforming to DCI specification, with 4096 x 2160 pixels - four times the resolution of 2K and Full HD. Each projector's large aperture F2.5 lens is made from ELD (Extra Low Dispersion) glass to ensure the highest quality 4K images.
Quick, easy set-up with auto alignment system
The smart auto alignment system that comes included ensures accurately calibrated images across the whole cinema screen. Alignment can also be performed easily at any time during routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Quick, easy configuration for 2D or smooth, easy-on-the-eye 3D presentation
Reconfiguration for 2D or 3D presentation between screenings is quick and easy, requiring only the addition of static 3D filters to each projector and no lens swaps. Unlike other ‘triple flash’ solutions, Left and Right eye images are projected continuously for smooth, natural 3D that's easy on the eye.
High contrast for lifelike images
Each projector's optical engine can deliver extremely high contrast (up to average 8000:1) images, giving more lifelike pictures with sparkling highlights and dark blacks.
Cost effective HPM multi-lamp technology for high reliability and safe, easy lamp replacement
Both projectors feature an innovative HPM multi-lamp array that delivers excellent brightness and image quality with lowered running costs. The system continues operating at slightly reduced light levels, even if one lamp source fails unexpectedly. Replacement of individual lamp cartridges is quick and easy, requiring no protective clothing or special safety measures.
Flexible, secure installation
The SRX-R515DS can be operated conveniently side-by-side or with both projectors stacked vertically to suit virtually any projection booth. Each projector's body structure forms a security enclosure specifically developed to comply with the FIPS-140/2 physical security and anti-tamper requirements specified by the DCI. Both projectors are linked by a DCI compliant security conduit.
High speed content ingest/transfer and high capacity storage
Quick ingest with high network transfer speeds via USB 3.0 assists theatre managers with flexible show scheduling. Storage capacity is expandable from 4TB up to a maximum 8TB.
Larger size GUI
The large 15-inch Graphical User Interface (GUI) allows easy projector set-up, content management and creation of complete show schedules.
Integrated cinema server and media block with Dolby Atmos support
Included with the system, the XCT-S10 cinema server and XCT-M10 integrated media block (IMB) support optional Dolby Atmos for a thrillingly immersive surround sound experience.
