Sony’s HDC-F5500 Super 35mm 4K CMOS Camera System has already established a benchmark in live production. The brand-new HDC-F5500V builds further on this, adding a global shutter and PL lens mount. The HZC-VND55F is an optional software license that enables the camera’s Variable ND Filter, providing extra creative control in coverage of sports and other live events.
Virtuoso HEVC: Real-Time Media Transport
The latest upgrade to our Virtuoso software-defined media node adds support for hardware-accelerated SRT (Secure Reliable Transport), enhancing its low-latency HEVC compression capabilities. This allows broadcasters to utilize unmanaged networks, like the Internet, for less critical applications, providing a cost-effective alternative to managed WANs. The upgrade also includes support for low-latency HEVC compression and various updates to existing functionalities, ensuring reliable and high-quality media transport for live production and remote contributions.
