In this interview at Camerimage 2022, Stéphanie talks about her latest movie Next Time shot on VENICE and the FX3. The VENICE Extension Kit was ‘a dream come true’ for shooting in confined spaces with mirrors and also bikes riding through Berlin at night. Stéphanie also talks about her involvement in the Women’s Cinematographers Network for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
[VENICE] is so lightweight. There’s an ‘umbilical cord' and you can swap from being handheld. There’s no other camera that gives you that freedom. Any cinematographers' concern is first and foremost the skin tones of the actors. So we had the opportunity to work with the VENICE camera and it was a great marriage to use the Sigma lenses with that sensor.
