New 4K HDR live camera system: HDC-3200
Our most affordable 4K HDR global shutter camera to date. The HDC-3200 fits straight into 720p and 1080i systems, with simple upgrades that take it up to 4K 60p. Ideal for teams moving from HD to 4K work, it also offers HDR imaging and SMPTE fiber output, and handles LED displays with ease, thanks to its global shutter. Compatible with all current and last generation accessories, the HDC-3200 launches with two new large lens adapters, for comprehensive or lightweight set-ups.
Cinematic images for live sports and events: HDC-F5500
The HDC-F5500 4K CMOS system camera lets you add the cinematic bokeh of Super 35 to your live productions. The global shutter imager allows the camera to work smoothly with LED screens, while a motorized 8-step ND filter makes it adaptable to changing light. Designed for perfect color matching with our HDC camera family, the HDC-F5500 can sit within Sony’s multi-camera workflow, including IP transmission and ISO recording in the CCU.
More power for PVM-X Production Monitors
Our v4 firmware update adds more capabilities to our PVM-X family of 4K HDR production monitors: closed caption support, in-monitor display, parallel remote and more. New software license models also provide break-out options for the all-inclusive PVML-HXS1 license, including HDR to SDR, 4K to 2K, and 1080p to 1080i conversion. Plus the benefit of baked-in LUT output for streamlined operations in confined spaces.
VENICE 2: Our flagship digital cinema camera
Capture remarkable detail in any lighting with VENICE 2. Equipped with a new 8.6K full-frame sensor with 16 stops of dynamic range and extreme low light sensitivity, VENICE 2 is a big leap forward in a smaller, lighter form factor. Record X-OCN and 4K ProRes internally and capture natural skin tones and beautiful highlight roll-off. Built-in ND filters mean camera crews can work faster and directors can explore their craft.
Alpha blends ease of use with professional features
Our Alpha series is now the number one line of mirrorless cameras—and lenses—in North America. Our Airpeak S1 is one of the smallest drones capable of flying a full-frame Alpha camera, but with professional features, like the ability to run separate flight and camera controllers. Meanwhile, firmware updates for our FX6 include bokeh control, focus breathing compensation, and improved autofocus—with tracking that follows objects, not just faces.
Wireless, lossless and now two-channel audio
To easily match video quality with audio excellence, we’re adding to our wireless audio line. The new UWP-D27 two-channel receiver and transmitter package gives you the convenience of two channels through one unit. Simply clip the URX-P41D receiver directly into your camera’s MI shoe and use the NFC sync function for quick, secure channel setting. Each package comes with two body pack transmitters with lavalier mics.
