Overview

Easily connect multiple videoconferencing sites with crisp HD image quality and data sharing

This compact, flexible Multipoint Control Unit (MCU) allows colleagues, customers and other partners to join videoconferences from mutiple locations with excellent image and voice quality. It's ideal for small businesses and workgroups that need affordable, easy-to-use conferencing facilities with the flexibility to add more sites as required.

This cost-effective solution offers several attractive benefits compared with conventional embedded MCU or dedicated external MCUs:
- Lower ownership costs than an external MCU
- No specialist IT/administrator or training required
- Quiet and efficient, with no dedicated server room needed.
- Always on, with no need for ‘Host’ terminal to be switched on for communications between ‘remote sites’

The PCS-MCS1 connects up to four conferencing endpoints as standard. PCSA-MPE1 port extension software expands the maximum number of supported endpoints from four to ten. Adding PCSA-MPE2 software expands this further to a maximum of sixteen endpoints. Also available, PCSA-MSA1 optional software allows up to 16 users to join meetings remotely using their smartphone or tablet while they're on the move.

Just enter an IP address to launch a meeting, or pick a stored number from the built-in phone book. Conferences are crisp, clear and secure, with blur-free Full HD images and high quality MPEG-4 AAC audio. Intelligent Quality of Service (QoS) optimises transmission, even with changing network conditions. Participants can view images from connected terminals with a choice of split screen modes. Data sharing lets participants make annotations to on-screen PC presentations with a pen/tablet. The space-saving unit fits discreetly in any meeting room or conference suite. Installation and set-up is quick and easy, with control from a connected PC using an intuitive web-based interface.

This product contains pre-installed software and requires the purchase of licence keys to activate some functions.

Features

High quality Full HD pictures and crisp digital sound

Every conference participant can enjoy smooth, detail-packed Full HD video (up to 1080p*) and high-quality MPEG4 AAC audio.
* May not be 1080p depending on number of connected points and broadcast mode settings.

Clearer conferences with Intelligent QoS

Intelligent QoS (Quality of Service) reduces video artefacts for best picture quality under varying network conditions, even over long transmission distances.

Connect from four up to sixteen participants

In standard form, the PCS-MCS1 allows up to four sites to join multi-point meetings. Adding optional PCSA-MPE1 port extension software expands the maximum number of terminals from 4 to 10 endpoints. Additional PCSA-MPE2 software expands this further to a maximum of 16 endpoints.

Join meetings on the move

Adding optional PCSA-MSA1 software to the PCS-MCS1 allows up to sixteen participants to join meetings from anywhere using their handheld device, with the IPELA Communication Mobile app (iOS/Android).

Choice of split-screen or voice activated modes

In split mode, every meeting participant appears on screen simultaneously. In Voice Activated mode, there's a full-screen view of the participant who's speaking currently.

Seven split screen modes

View up to 16 conference participants simultaneously with a choice of seven split-screen modes.

Full HD data sharing

Participants can collaborate with high-quality Full HD video and voice, while simultaneously viewing a shared presentation from a connected PC.

Dual network ports

Dual Ethernet ports allow simultaneous connection to two networks (LAN/Intrant and WAN/Internet) without having to switch network cables. There's no data transmission between networks, ensuring that meetings stay secure.

Share written annotations

Every connected site can make on-screen annotations with a pen/tablet and share with other conference participants

Easy to use web interface

The PCS-MCS1 can be controlled easily via its web-based interface (UI). Users can launch calls via IP address or phonebook, accept/decline inbound calls, and configure multi-point meetings.
