EI Towers introduces contribution solution for Italy’s top football league
Infrastructure provider EI Towers needed to manage video and audio contributions from 17 football stadiums to an International Broadcast Centre in Lissone. Now, 3G-SDI and UHD feeds deliver reliably and securely from stadiums to IBC, with Virtuoso software-defined media nodes transporting media and data while VideoIPath manages connections and bandwidth.
TV 2 Denmark demonstrates 5G in a live studio production
Danish broadcaster TV 2 conducted a successful PoC for 5G connectivity in a live studio environment. Working with Sony and several technology partners, TV 2 used 5G-enabled system cameras and smartphones during an evening broadcast. The trial proved that 5G-based production could simplify cabling and logistics, while handling the needs for high bandwidth and low latency.
