Da Vinci Classroom presents a vision for online lectures
In response to the changes of the times and the founding philosophy, Chung-Ang University has been leading basic liberal arts education by changing its name to Da Vinci College of General Education on April 25, 2017.
Da Vinci Liberal Arts College is actively pursuing structural reforms across its educational goals, human resources, and curriculum to systematize, improve, and specialize basic liberal arts education. To achieve this Da Vinci is implementing:
- Technology-based active learning model for student growth
- Use of technology (online activities)
- Improving student’s learning initiative through pre-class
- In practical learning (in-class), cooperative learning is conducted based on a team
- Securing an opportunity to apply class content to the field or practice through transfer learning (after-class)
Technology-optimized system for online education
Using Sony’s intelligence-based automatic tracking system REA-C1000, lecturers can focus solely on training, not system operation, with smooth and precise tracking of lecturers, so they can be presented as if they were teaching in the field.
The system is operated automatically when power is applied even if the user or operator does not separately control and manage the system for operation.
The SRG-X400 remote camera connected to the REA-C1000 quietly and smoothly tracks the lecturer, supporting the highest image quality based on advanced technology provided by Sony.
In addition, if you need to record 4K-based lectures in the future, you can easily upgrade them.
Easy operation and reduced operating costs
It takes a lot of time to attach a pin mic and get it in place, and using a handheld mic has limited movement. However, Sony’s MAS-A100 beamforming mic is ready-to-use by simply installing it on the ceiling, allowing the presenter to speak from any position hands-free without the hassle of preparation, allowing them to focus on the presentation.
What’s more, it works even in a completely non-contact state, reducing the risk of infection between users.
There is no need to change the battery periodically using PoE power, and the low-noise, high-quality Sony laser projector was installed to optimize for online and offline lectures.
In addition, it can operate 20,000 hours without replacing lamps and filters, reducing maintenance costs.
