Revolution in surgical imaging with Sony’s 4K HDR and Local Dimming Technology
Sony’s LMD-XH series medical monitors are packed with advanced technologies to provide medical professionals with a high level of visual details and accuracy in images. These monitors ensure impressive 4K Ultra HD images with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels (16:9 screen aspect ratio.) HDR compatibility with HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) incorporation reproduce stunningly lifelike images with a peak brightness of more than 1,500 cd/m2 (LMD-XH550MT and LMD-XH550MD)/1,750 cd/m2 (LMD-XH320MT) and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 achieved by Sony’s unique Local Dimming Technology.

Exceptional clarity, rich color and enhanced image structure help surgeons and OR staff see more details of complex surgical procedures
4K Ultra HD Resolutions
The LMD-XH series monitors are capable of displaying 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), which is four times the resolution of full HD. This allows surgeons and clinicians to see important details of patient anatomy with exceptional clarity.
HDR (High Dynamic Range)
The LMD-XH series monitors feature HDR display functionality. When receiving HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) signals from a compatible imaging system, the displays can reproduce images more realistically with greater detail. Virtually no detail remains undiscovered in the dark or lost in overexposed highlight areas.
Local Dimming Technology
Sony’s unique Local Dimming Technology provides precise control over LED lighting sources for backlights in both light and dark areas. This technology allows for independent activation (ON) and deactivation (OFF) of LED lighting sources for each specific area, effectively eliminating black clipping in dark zones and white clipping in light zones. As a result, this advanced technology ensures exceptional image quality that is well-suited for HDR content.
LMD-XH550MT and LMD-XH550MD models achieve a peak brightness of 1,500 cd/m2, while the LMD-XH320MT reaches 1,750 cd/m2. All LMD-XH models can boast an impressive contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. This exceptional performance is achieved by efficiently utilizing the saved power from dark areas and applying it to enhance the brightness of the lighter areas of the image.
3D imaging
The LMD-XH550MT and the LMD-XH320MT monitors have the capability to display either 3D or 2D images when connected to a compatible endoscope or robotic surgery system. A 2D/3D switching button on the control panel allows users to change modes easily.
A.I.M.E.™ technology
Sonyʼs A.I.M.E. (Advanced Image Multiple Enhancer) technology enhances color and structure of the displayed images by adjusting contrast, sharpness and visibility of shadow areas for more comfortable viewing.
Extensive interface compatible with an endoscope system
Various input/output connectors such as 12G-SDI and Display Port are available.
