Color Calibrator
Fine-tune the color reproduction for your virtual production.
*Windows 10 is required.
Refine your colors for smarter virtual production
Calibrate the colors for your virtual production before you start to shoot, for more efficient shooting and less work in post-production. Solve LED color shifts in advance so you don’t need to deal with it on shoot days. Ensure proper color reproduction when shooting LED volume with Sony cameras.
Achieve the exact colors you want, every time
Precise color reproduction can be challenging for virtual productions, creating unnecessary adjustments on-set and corrections in post-production. Color Calibrator is a Windows 10 application that is specially tuned to our VENICE / VENICE 2 / BURANO / ILME-FR7 / HDC-F5500 / HDC-5500V / HDC-5500 / HDC-3500V / HDC-3500 cameras, so you can ensure that the colors you visualize before shoot day match the colors that appear in your dailies.
User-friendly operation
Display the color calibration chart on your LED volume using the Sony On-set Camera Component (found in our Camera and Display Plugin for Unreal Engine). Color Calibrator analyses and compares the calibration charts from within Unreal Engine and the image that the VENICE / VENICE 2 / BURANO / ILME-FR7 / HDC-F5500 / HDC-5500V / HDC-5500 / HDC-3500V / HDC-3500 camera captures from the panels. It then automatically shows the difference with a graph and vector scope. Easily create and output a LUT correction, which is applied to Unreal Engine to adjust colors. You can generate a 3D LUT file after performing a calibration*.
* A Camera and Display Plugin License is required to display the color calibration chart.
Flexible licensing terms
Color Calibrator offers the flexibility to suit your production needs with licensing on a monthly [LCN-CCM1] or yearly basis [LCN-CCY1], available through your preferred Sony authorized reseller or online.
