A sensory realm of the imagination for forest visitors
First unveiled at the 2019 Beijing Expo, the Fantasy Light and Shadow Forest was a pioneering project in China’s increasingly popular “digital night tour” industry. It’s now open to the public with a brand new look, turning the beautiful scenic spot into an imaginative realm through striking audiovisual and interactive effects, enhanced by multi-dimensional reality, AI and other technologies. Situated adjacent to Beijing Olympic Forest Park, the “Fantasy Light and Shadow Forest – Mountain and Sea Fantasy” brings a series of mythological scenes to life for visitors in the enchanting woodland location.
Concealed projectors create unique visual effects
As they journey through a series of themed areas, guests are treated to an extraordinary series of interactive sensory experiences and special effects, including exotic plants and animals, rippling water, elves, mythical beasts and monsters. Sony 3LCD laser projectors are carefully concealed in the woodland setting, helping to create a stunning series of multimedia tableaux as visitors travel through a seamless blend of real and virtual worlds.
Easy setup and low maintenance
The projectors are variously used to create a range of different visual effects, including direct projection onto woodland trees, the ground beneath visitors’ feet, and rear-projection onto a curved gauze screen. In addition to offering exceptional image quality, the projectors can be installed in any position, including vertically, to give greater flexibility in creating spectacular visual effects to complement the scene.
Combining excellent image quality, versatile integration options, easy setup and low maintenance requirements, the Sony VPL-F1006ZL and VPL-F901ZL offer a center brightness of 10,400 and 9,300 lumens respectively. They’re complemented by the light and compact VPL-P630HZ that offers a center brightness of up to 7,000 lumens.
