Overview
Versatile 4K production across long distances
This multi-purpose expansion unit increases your shooting possibilities in environments where local power supplies or easy access to the camera head is not available, such as outdoor sports. Paired with high-performance cameras, like the HDC-P50A 4K/HD HFR-compatible POV (Point of View) system camera, the HDCE-500’s IP interface enables power and signal transmission up to 1150 ft using a Single Mode Fiber cable. Portable system cameras such as the HDC-5000/3000 series can also be combined with the HDCE-500 to transmit power and signal up to 2 mi over optical fiber cable. HDCE-500 output is also equipped with a Lemo connector to enable connection with a Camera Control Unit (CCU) for building multi-camera systems with the HDC-P50A, and supports Single Mode Fiber connections for long-distance transmission up to 6 mi.
Hybrid Fiber Camera Cable to Single Mode Fiber cable adaptation for extended range
The HDCE-500 camera extension adaptor converts the Hybrid Fiber Camera Cable fiber from HDC Series to Single Mode Fiber Cable for long-distance transmissions up to 6 mi. The HDCE-500 provides power to the camera head, eliminating the need for localized DC power supply in the field.
