IP-ready Camera Control Unit (CCU) for the HDC-3000 series system camera

This IP-ready Camera Control Unit (CCU) for the HDC-3000 series system camera provides both an interface to external equipment and a power supply to the camera in a compact and portable half-rack-width 3U form factor, ideal for OB production environments. 12G-SDI and 4K output is available via an optional HZCU-UHD35 software license. The CCU also provides a pathway for IP operation with HDC Series optical fiber studio cameras. IP Tally support (TSL UMD v5.0) is featured as standard, while CCU menu settings can be conveniently adjusted remotely over a network.

Features

Expanded HB+ transmission

By connecting the HDC-3500R with the HDCU-3500R, you can take advantage of HB+ transmission through the camera system. This simplifies the delivery of multiple signals and significantly enhances on-set connectivity and efficiency workflows. HB+ also offers backward compatibility and automatically switches to the appropriate transmission format.

Compact body, powerful capability

The HDCU-3500R achieves 4K and IP in a half-rack size, making it a compact unit. It includes a handle, making it handy for carrying around on its own. The CCU’s front panel also has an LED indicator that can display various colors for quick status checks.

Ready for IP

The optional HKCU-SFP50 IP Interface Kit adds ST 2110 4K/HD IP video/audio and IP intercom capabilities. Furthermore, by applying ST 2059-9 and assuming synchronization via PTP, a robust and reliable broadcasting system can be constructed.

3D LUT output with Option Board

With the optional HKCU-LUT35 board, the HDCU-3500 series delivers real-time 3D LUT output for precise color management. Apply custom looks instantly across monitor and line outputs, switch between multiple LUT presets with ease, and integrate seamlessly into HDR/SDR workflows. Import external LUT files for ultimate creative flexibility and achieve accurate, consistent color reproduction. Designed for modern production environments, this feature empowers creators to maintain visual intent from capture to delivery.

4K monthly/weekly software license

With the HZCU-UHD35 4K software license, the HDCU-3500R or HDCU-3500 can be upgraded to output 4K.

The HZCU-UHD35 can be used permanently.
The HZCU-UHD35M can be used for 30 days.
The HZCU-UHD35W can be used for 7 days.

MENU Setting from web browser

The HDCU-3500R supports menu control directly from a web browser. Status monitoring of multiple CCUs, file import/export, and remote firmware updating enhance the efficiency of every operation.

High-quality long-distance signal transmission

Combined with the optional HKCU-SM50 interface kit, the compact HDCU-3500R can be connected to the HDC-3500RV or HDC-3500R using Single Mode Fiber (SMF) for long-distance transmission up to 6.1 mi, making it ideal for space-limited operations such as OB trucks.

Recording and real-time network transfer

With the HKCU-REC55 recording option, the HDCU-3500R can record the live feed within the CCU. The file can be transferred to USB SSD or network storage in real time during recording. Enjoy an accelerated workflow: when the shooting operation is finished, the file is already transferred to a portable SSD or NAS.
